Secrets from the "Little Dark Hill"
The Gaelic word for "little dark hill" is "tamdhu." Be assured though that unlike its name, Tamdhu Single Malt Scotch is a big, pleasant surprise. It is a 10 year old, so it may seem a bit lively for some, but it is packed with biscuity toffee backed by undertones of fruit, spice, and a distant hint of smoke. It has a long finish, but is not sweet. Tamdhu is close to the ideal everyday scotch, very well suited as an aperitif or a cigar dram. Far better than most blends, it offers the best of both- Single Malt flavors at blended prices. Recently, our local liquor store had a 15% discount weekend. I purchased a bottle for $17 USD- a true "steal."
